Job Description

The Commi 1 will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes across Indian, Chinese, and Tandoor sections. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in a multi-cuisine kitchen, with strong knowledge of traditional and modern cooking methods, food hygiene, and plating techniques.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes from Indian, Chinese, and Tandoor cuisines as per menu and chef instructions.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, portion, and presentation.
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene and follow food safety standards (FSSAI compliance).
  • Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and mise en place preparation.
  • Monitor and minimize wastage of ingredients.
  • Assist in inventory control and proper storage of raw materials.
  • Coordinate with service staff to ensure timely food service during peak hours.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organization in workstations at all times.
  • Contribute to menu innovation and new recipe trials when required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma or Certification in Hotel Management / Culinary Arts preferred.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a reputed restaurant or hotel, specializing in Indian, Chinese, and Tandoor cuisine.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian gravies, Chinese sauces, and Tandoor operations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple orders.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must maintain personal grooming and hygiene standards.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time, rotational shifts including weekends and holidays.

Salary:

  • 20 to 25k.
